Valencia is a city with lots of culture that meets the demands of all different types of tourists, whether you’re traveling in a pair, a group of friends or a family with kids.
The city is divided into different neighborhoods, like the Cabañal, which is popular for the marina, port, and the beaches. There is also the center of Valencia, where the majority of tourist attractions are.
Using public transportation is easy, as is walking around since it’s a flat city and medium sized, you can reach every corner of the city just by walking.
If you want to try a typical plate from Valencia, of course Paella is the most important, and you can find lots of restaurants in the city center with paella and other typical Valencian dishes. You can also try “tapas“ which is another famous dish from Spain and they’re perfect for sharing with everybody, and there is something for every taste.
You also must visit the Carmen neighborhood, which is popular for the narrow streets and fun environment. It´s famous for its bars and pubs, which are a great place for visitors to enjoy a drink in a great environment. Because of this, it’s known as the preferred place of Erasmus students to live when they’re here for a long time.
Don’t forget to take note of all the monuments you want to visit in the center of Valencia: the Central Market, La Lonja, Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Torres de Serrano, Plaza de la Virgen, Torres de Quart, etc. There’s so much to discover, dont forget!
